This Free Second World War & Communism Tour focuses on the stories of Czechoslovak men and women, who bravely fought the occupying Nazi and Soviet forces. The 3-hour-long experience will make you feel thrilled, shocked, and at times emotional.
We designed this tour so you can follow the story easily, in a step-by-step order. Starting with the beginning of the Second World War and the Munich agreement, ending with the story of the Velvet Revolution and the largest protests in Czechoslovak history against the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia.
The tour will start in the Lesser Town at the Winged Lion Memorial and will go through the streets of the Jewish Quarter and Old Town, finishing in the New Town at the Memorial to the Heroes of the Heydrich Terror near the Dancing House. The tour will climax with the visit to the crypt where the brave paratroopers from the Anthropoid operation had their last stand.
